high idle?

hello again, i'm still workin out the bugs of a d16z6 swap into an 88 crx. when i start the car it immediately jumps to 4500 rpm. any ideas where i went wrong? thanks

I experienced the same thing when I did a d16y into an 89. The culprit turned out to be leaky vaccuum lines. Checkem, and replace them ALL if necessary.

beat me to it Mine would either idle high @ 1200rpm or drop to sub 750 in the heat. Replaced the vacume hoses and all is fine... except my cold-idle dashpot is rooted now and it cold idles @ 2000rpm
